An eight-foot high wall encompasses your destination. You enter the cemetery through the massive iron gates and proceed on your journey.
Looking around you see ancient trees with gnarled limbs, the ornate sculptures that mark many graves, and the beautiful tombs and mausoleums scattered amongst the ordinary headstones.
One particular mausoleum stands out among the rest and you are drawn toward it...
The Furman tomb looms above you standing 15 feet tall at the apex. It is a massive structure of solid granite and ornate carvings. The base is 20 feet long and 5 feet deep...enough room to hold an entire family in eternal sleep. Yet, you notice that there is only one, massive stone coffin laying on top of the six foot tall base...it is surrounded by four statues on each side. Each angelic statue stands in a separate pose, while the roof of the enclosure rests on the top of their stoic heads. The eyes of the lovely statues seem to follow your every move and you begin to feel like prey...Beware of the blood demons that protect the grounds from unworthy trespassers...
There is a small door made of old wrought iron on the north side of the monument. You notice that it is unlocked and you push the door in on its rusty hinges. Ducking into the passageway, you begin to walk down the narrow staircase into the most earth...the light fades behind your back as you enter the darkness...
